AFLW premiership player, Seven Network AFL commentator and women's football pioneer.
Abbey Holmes played in the AFLW's foundation years with the Adelaide Crows and was part of the historic 2017 inaugural-season premiership side, appearing in every match of that first season. In the 2013–14 NTFL season she became the first woman to kick 100 goals in a season in an established women's league, finishing with 105 goals in 15 games for Waratah. Off the field she has built a second career in broadcasting — a commentator and boundary rider for the Seven Network's AFL and AFLW coverage since 2018, part of Seven's team for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, and a regular across Triple M Footy and AFL media.
For corporate audiences she brings both perspectives — the pioneer's view of helping build a top-flight women's competition from scratch, and the broadcaster's view of where the game and its commercial story are heading. She talks well about culture, identity and the experience of being a high-performance athlete in a competition that was still being invented around her.
Abbey is a strong fit for women in business, sports business and inclusion-themed events, and she works as a master of ceremonies as well as a keynote speaker.

Abbey was an open book and really worked well with our MC with the Question & Answer format. She was very professional and easy to work with. Abbey interacted with our audience after her presentation and was happy to take photos with our guests.Housing Industry Association
