About Cameron

Cameron James is an award-winning stand-up comedian, musician, and writer whose 'rockstar without a band' style sets him apart in the Australian comedy landscape. His 2024 solo shows Electric Dreams and Mixtape sold out nationally, earning him the Director's Choice Award at the Sydney Comedy Festival and a nomination for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has won multiple AWGIE Awards for Best Comedy Writing and an APA Award for Best Entertainment Podcast. His 2025 tour Broken Records continued that run of sold-out seasons.

Cameron's screen work includes Spicks and Specks, Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee, Bump, Utopia, Question Everything, and his own comedy special on ABC's Comedy Next Gen. As a writer he has contributed to Gruen, Celebrity Roasts, At Home Alone Together, and the new ABC sketch show URZILA. His Finding series — beginning with Finding Yeezus — has amassed over 1.5 million viewers globally, described by The Australian as 'tremendously bonkers' and The AV Club as 'brilliantly silly'. In 2024 he partnered with Ben Lee's indie record label to release his own comedy music, with his single Medium D*ck racking up over 9 million views on Instagram and YouTube.

Cameron brings a live energy that is hard to replicate — his shows blend songs, storytelling, and improvisation in a way that keeps an audience genuinely unsure what is coming next. For events looking for something beyond straight stand-up — a comedian who can also hold a room with music and wit — he is one of the most distinctive options working in Australia today.
