He Huang

About He

He Huang grew up in Chongqing, China, studied International Relations in Beijing, completed a Master's degree in Washington DC, and eventually found herself in Australia — where she won the RAW Comedy state finalist for Victoria at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2021. The following year, her stand-up routine on Australia's Got Talent became a viral sensation with over 60 million views globally, establishing her as one of the most-watched new comedians in the country almost overnight. Her full-hour show Bad Bitch broke sales records at Perth's Fringe World, earned her a Best Newcomer nomination at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Best Newcomer award at the 2023 Sydney Comedy Festival. Her 2025 show, White Man's Burden, won Best International Debut in Wellington at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

He's comedy draws on family life, cultural differences, language and the particular absurdity of navigating multiple worlds simultaneously — delivered with dry wit, sarcasm and a frankness that comes from genuinely not caring whether the joke is polite. She has appeared on ABC, Channel 7, SBS and Network 10's Thank God You're Here, performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Just For Laughs galas, and received a BBC Radio Arts Hour Comedy Special in 2024. She is currently on a worldwide tour.

He Huang suits any event that wants a comedian with genuine cross-cultural reach and a backstory audiences find both surprising and disarming. She is equally effective for corporate audiences, diversity-focused events, and broader entertainment contexts. She also speaks on International Development, NGOs and China — making her unusually versatile for a stand-up at this stage of her career.
