Lisa Curry AO MBE is one of Australia's most recognisable Olympians — a triple Olympian and seven-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist whose swimming career took in Moscow 1980, Los Angeles 1984 and Barcelona 1992, the last of those eight years after her previous Games and twelve years after her first. Her career ran through the era of the East German drug scandal, a subject she still addresses from the platform. She was appointed MBE in 1982 for service to swimming and awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1994; her AO, awarded in 2008, recognises service to the community through encouraging national pride and identity, particularly through her leadership of the National Australia Day Council.

Beyond her years in the pool, Curry has built a career in health and wellbeing as a business owner, presenter and best-selling author of six health and fitness books. She has also competed in surf boat rowing and outrigger canoeing, winning a world outrigger canoe title in 1997. Her presentations draw on both elite sport and personal experience, addressing the transition out of competition, self-management, and the discipline required to sustain physical and mental health across a lifetime. She speaks openly about subjects many prominent athletes avoid, including the personal losses and health challenges that have shaped her.
