Lou Wall

About Lou

Lou Wall is a multi-award-winning comedian, composer and content creator known for genre-bending, politically savvy comedy that pushes format and expectation. Their work blends cabaret, musical theatre and stand-up, and has earned multiple Green Room wins and nominations, including repeated recognition for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

What distinguishes Lou is how far the work has travelled. Shows from The Bisexual's Lament to Breaking the Fifth Wall have consistently sold out seasons in Australia and internationally, including sold-out runs in Edinburgh and London and a transfer to Off Broadway's SoHo Playhouse. The critics have kept pace: The Guardian called one show a silly and profound stand-up masterpiece, the Sydney Morning Herald described it as easily one of the most glorious Australian comedy hours in years, and Chortle in the UK went further still — the voice of a generation. Underneath the laughs is real musical intelligence and sharp cultural commentary.

For audiences, that means comedy that is both culturally sharp and commercially compelling — inventive, fearless and built on genuine craft. Lou brings musical composition, political commentary and bold theatrical storytelling to every stage they step onto. For gala dinners, festival-style events, end-of-year functions and any audience that wants entertainment with an original voice, Lou Wall delivers a performance people will be talking about long after the final song.
