About Sam

Sam Campbell is a comedian working across Australia and the United Kingdom. He won the Edinburgh Comedy Award Main Prize in 2022 and the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018. In 2024 he was named Chortle Breakthrough Act and Comedian's Comedian, and his 2025 tour Wobservations won Chortle Best Tour. He won series 16 of Taskmaster in 2023 and returned for the Champion of Champions special. He divides his time between Australia and the UK, where he is currently developing and appearing in a series for Channel 4.

Sam's television credits span both hemispheres: QI, Would I Lie to You, Taskmaster, The Wheel, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown in the UK, and Fisk and The Hundred with Andy Lee in Australia. He has writing credits on Don't Hug Me I'm Scared and created his own series Nippers. He co-hosts the podcast Lucy and Sam's Perfect Brains with Lucy Beaumont — described as a podcast about living on the outskirts of society — and tours a new show, Window Sucker, in Australia.

Sam's work operates in a register all his own — absurdist, unexpected, and built on a comic logic that consistently wrong-foots an audience. He suits events and festivals that want something genuinely different. For promoters, curators, and event organisers looking for a name with international festival weight and a growing UK television profile, Sam Campbell is a compelling proposition.
