West Coast Eagles original and 1994 WA Footballer of the Year - now a Seven News Perth presenter and MC
Adrian Barich grew up in Canberra playing rugby union, converting to Australian Rules at sixteen because it looked like more fun. He signed with Perth Football Club and then as an inaugural West Coast Eagle, playing in the club's historic first game in 1987. At Perth he captained the side, won its fairest and best and earned life membership, and he is a member of Western Australia's 200 Club. In 1994 he was runner-up for the Sandover Medal and was named Western Australian Footballer of the Year by the WA Media Guild.
The transition from footballer to broadcaster was seamless. Since 1995 Adrian has worked as a television reporter and presenter for Channel Seven, wrote a football column in The West Australian for several years, and has co-hosted Radio 6PR's Sports Central program. He brings to every event the same preparation and audience awareness that served him on the field — arriving early, researching the room, and making every person feel at home.
As an MC, Adrian is well-suited to corporate, sporting, and community events — particularly those with a WA audience who know his face and trust his warmth. The Mid West Sports Federation described him as 'perfectly suited to our audience' and said he had the event 'totally under control', which let the organiser relax and enjoy the show for the first time.

Adrian Barich was exceptional – perfectly suited to our audience and he made everyone feel right at home. Adrian was also really well versed on our content and had obviously done his research. It was genuinely the first time that I've just been able to relax and enjoy the show, because he had it totally under control.Mid West Sports Federation
