Amos Gill

About Amos

Amos Gill is one of Australia's most prolific young comedians, with a stand-up career that began in 2010 when he entered the Triple J Raw Comedy competition and reached the State Final. In 2012 he was a runner-up in the National Final, and the following year earned nominations for both Best Emerging Comedian and People's Choice at the Adelaide Fringe for his show You've Changed. At the 2013 Melbourne International Comedy Festival he was hand-selected for the prestigious Comedy Zone programme, and in 2014 received a nomination for the MICF Best Newcomer award. He has supported Jim Jefferies, appeared on ABC TV's Allstar Comedy Gala and performed at Just for Laughs Live at the Sydney Opera House.

Amos has also demonstrated a flair for media beyond stand-up. In October 2014, when Adelaide radio station SAFM rebranded as hit107, he and Dani Pola were announced as the station's first breakfast team — a role that brought daily live performance discipline and a connection to a broad general audience. After his radio stint he returned to the full-time comedy circuit, touring the United States and selling out Adelaide Fringe shows. His comedy is observational and warm — the kind that draws audiences in rather than keeping them at a distance.

Amos is a strong choice for corporate events, gala dinners, award ceremonies and conferences that need genuine laughter rather than safe entertainment. He has the pedigree of the festival circuit combined with the live presence of someone who has held a morning radio audience. For event organisers looking for a comedian who can read a room and hold it, Amos Gill is a well-credentialled and versatile option.
