Andrew Hansen is best known as a member of Australian comedy collective The Chaser, whose television series include The Chaser's War On Everything, CNNNN, The Hamster Wheel and The Chaser's Election Desk — shows he co-wrote, co-produced and starred in, while also composing the songs. He won the AFI Award for Best Performance in Television Comedy in 2006 and two Logie Awards for Most Outstanding Comedy. His musical comedy series and album The Blow Parade for Triple J won the ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release in 2010, shared with Chris Taylor and Craig Shuftan. In 2023, his documentary/comedy series Australian Epic premiered on ABC TV, with Andrew serving as co-showrunner, co-writer and composer.

What sets Andrew apart within The Chaser is music. He composed the songs across the Chaser television series, composed the music for and performed in Dead Caesar for the Sydney Theatre Company, and narrated the audio books he co-wrote with Jessica Roberts — the four-volume junior fiction series Bab Sharkey and the Animal Mummies, published by Walker Books. He has voiced characters on Netflix's Beat Bugs, appeared in the film Sanctum, hosted ABC Radio Melbourne across multiple seasons, and presented guest lectures at AFTRS and the University of Melbourne. From 2020 to 2023, he toured three solo comedy shows of songs and sketches nationally.

In the corporate world, Andrew's particular value is his ability to perform live musical numbers written specifically for the event — a skill that has made him an MC for dozens of companies and organisations across the country, including the Property Council of Australia, the APRA Music Awards, Commonwealth Bank, Microsoft and Canon. He suits award ceremonies, gala dinners and conferences that want something more than a microphone and a warm-up act.
