Former international rugby league fullback, spinal injury survivor and founder of MiniFit
Anthony 'Mini' Minichiello played 302 games for the Sydney Roosters, a club record at the time of his retirement, and his trophy cabinet includes the Dally M Fullback of the Year, two Harry Sunderland medals, the Wally Lewis Medal, the International Golden Boot Award, and selection at fullback in the club's centenary side, Team 100 – The Centurions. He scored 139 tries for the Roosters, the club record until Daniel Tupou passed it in 2023.
The part of his story that sets him apart is not the medals — it is what happened in the middle of his career. For four years, spinal injuries threatened to end everything. After two spinal operations, every specialist told him to find a new career. He didn't. Instead, he changed what he was eating and how he was caring for his body, and returned to perform at the highest level in one of the world's most demanding contact sports. That recovery forms the core of his speaking work today.
Mini now speaks on the power of nutrition to heal the body, the leadership habits that create good culture, and the lessons professional sport offers the business world. He is also the founder of MiniFit, a health and fitness program for kids. His work suits corporate conferences, health and wellness events, and leadership forums — wherever the connection between physical discipline and professional performance is a relevant theme.
Anthony Minichiello is a keynote speaker based in New South Wales who speaks on leadership, mental health & wellbeing and motivation. Book through Executive Speakers Australia.
