Bec Goddard coached the Adelaide Crows to the inaugural AFLW premiership in 2017 — a competition she'd helped advocate for years before it existed. The arc of her career inside Australian football, federal policing and women's sport has put her at the centre of multiple environments where women had to build the structures rather than join them.
Her speaking is direct, well-paced and shaped by lived leadership experience in operational settings — not theory. She talks carefully about the cultural work required to build something new, the realities of leading teams through that, and the small daily choices that compound into culture.
