About Becky

Becky Lucas is a stand-up comedian and writer who first made her mark in the 2013 National RAW Comedy finals and has since performed sold-out shows across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. She made her Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2018 and played the Sydney Opera House for Just for Laughs Sydney the same year. In 2019 she made her US television debut on Conan — becoming the first Australian woman to feature on the show — and toured to Just For Laughs Montreal. She hosted the Oxfam Gala on ABC TV in 2021, and her debut novel Acknowledgments is published through HarperCollins.

Becky's writing credits include Please Like Me (Josh Thomas's Emmy-nominated series) and co-writing on Stan's The Other Guy. She has opened for Conan O'Brien, Nikki Glaser, Nick Kroll, Jim Norton, Beth Stelling, and Daniel Tosh, and has performed at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles and The Comedy Cellar in New York. Amazon Prime's Last One Laughing with Rebel Wilson brought her to a new audience in 2020, and she co-created and co-starred in the ABC Fresh Blood series Be Your Own Boss with Cameron James. Her 2025 tour Things Have Changed But the Essence Remains the Same sold out across Australia.

Becky's comedy is deceptively quiet — she sets up punchlines that land precisely where an audience does not see them coming. That quality makes her equally effective in a 400-seat theatre or hosting a corporate gala. For events looking for a comedian with a US television appearance, a debut novel, and a live track record spanning Australia, New Zealand, Edinburgh and New York, she is a compelling and reliable choice.
