Getaway Host Since 1997 & Australia's Favourite Travel Presenter
Catriona Rowntree is one of the longest-serving and most beloved television personalities in Australia. As the host of Getaway since 1997 — a run of nearly three decades — she has become part of the fabric of Australian life, guiding audiences through the world's most extraordinary destinations with the warmth, curiosity and genuine enthusiasm that have defined her on-screen persona.
Beyond her television career, Catriona is a passionate advocate for mental health and a committed philanthropist, working with organisations that support vulnerable children and communities both in Australia and internationally. She has spoken openly about her own mental health journey, bringing the same honesty and accessibility to those conversations that she brings to everything she does.
As an MC and keynote presenter, Catriona is celebrated for her ability to make everyone in a room feel personally welcomed, her impeccable sense of timing and the infectious enthusiasm she brings to every event. She is a popular choice for gala dinners, corporate conferences, charity auctions and awards ceremonies — and her decades of live television experience make her one of the most reliably excellent event hosts in Australia.
