Triple round-the-world yachtsman and author — leadership lessons drawn from the world's most unforgiving environments
Conrad Humphreys is an award-winning yachtsman who has sailed around the world three times, competed as the youngest entrant in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race, led his team to victory in the BT Global Challenge, and became the fifth British yachtsman in history to complete the legendary Vendée Globe — the single-handed, non-stop solo circumnavigation of the globe. Most recently, he served as professional skipper in the recreation of Captain Bligh's survival story, Mutiny on the Bounty, for Channel 4. His book, Inspiring Leadership: Staying Afloat in Turbulent Times, distils the leadership lessons he extracted from being the youngest skipper in history to win the World's Toughest Yacht Race.
Off the water, Humphreys is the founder of Sport Environment, a sports marketing consultancy specialising in sailing and outdoor sports. He advises clients including UBS, Microsoft, Pfizer, and BT across sponsorship, employee engagement, and integrated brand campaigns. He is equally fluent in the language of elite performance and commercial strategy — an unusual combination.
Conrad is known for his ability to understand complex business challenges and tailor his presentations accordingly, leaving audiences with a practical toolkit rather than a collection of inspiring anecdotes. His talks draw direct connections between the decision-making required at sea — in conditions that allow no margin for error — and the decisions leaders face every day in competitive, fast-changing environments. For teams navigating disruption, uncertainty, or the pressure to perform, he speaks with genuine authority.
Conrad Humphreys is a keynote speaker based overseas who speaks on business strategy, leadership and motivation. Book through Executive Speakers Australia.

Fantastic session, pitched perfectly to our audience – the briefing session beforehand was also very useful and meant we all had plenty to "take away" to apply in our work place.Smile: Together
