Corporate comedian and MC — sharp, professional and a safe pair of hands for any room.
Des Dowling is one of Australia's most experienced corporate comedians, with more than 20 years on the comedy circuit and a long second life as one of the safest, smartest MCs in the business. He has television credits including Kinne and Agony Uncles and sold-out runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
What makes him work for corporate audiences is the combination of a stand-up's instinct for the room and an MC's discipline with a long run sheet. Des reads the audience properly, lands his material cleanly, and can take a program from awards-night precision through to a comedy headline set without ever letting the energy drop.
He's a strong choice for awards nights, corporate dinners, fundraisers and any event where the host needs to be funny without ever needing to be apologised for.

Des Dowling was the ultimate professional. Could read the room, his comedy was spot on, easy to deal with. Rave reviews from clients in the function - huge success.Geelong Racing Club
Des Dowling was a fantastic host for the REIA National Awards 2009. He understood my clients requirements and my needs as an event manager. He had the audience right there with him the entire night and his improvisation through a technical glitch made it feel like it was all done on purpose. He was funny, professional, flexible indealing with last minute changes and a pleasure to work with. We will certainly recommend him to our future clients.Senior Events Co-ordinator Tour Hosts Pty Ltd
I've been to a lot of functions throughout my time as President of the Banyule Amateur Football Club and quite frankly Des Dowling wasabsolutely magnificent last Saturday at the Bear Cave. The audience, from our u19 boys to some of our senior life members, were thoroughly entertained as Des let them rip in a very professional and polished performance. Get on the Des Dowling bandwagon!
