Ivan Aristeguieta arrived in Australia from Venezuela over a decade ago and has spent every year since making a very good living observing Australians with affection, precision and an irrepressible sense of humour. Award-winning in stand-up and beloved across the country's comedy circuit, Ivan performs and headlines internationally — across South America, the United States, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
He has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala every year from 2016 to 2025, appeared at the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, and featured on Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Project, The Weekly and Hughesy, We Have a Problem. His comedy specials Chorizo Sizzle (ABC iView), The Fourth Floor and Happy Papi (Paramount+) are available worldwide.
Beyond stand-up, Ivan is a trained food technologist, cook and brewer whose pandemic cooking show About This Much — Live brought his kitchen to thousands of Australians via Zoom.
