Jamie Young is a retired professional goalkeeper who played for more than twenty years in England and Australia, including seven seasons with Brisbane Roar FC before joining Western United in 2021 and finishing his career at Melbourne City. He has also undertaken PhD research at the University of Queensland into the psychology of sports coaching. In 2017/18 he won the A-League Goalkeeper of the Year award, the Brisbane Roar Gary Wilkins Medal (the club's highest honour), the Brisbane Roar Player's Player of the Year, and earned selection in the A-League and PFA Team of the Year.
