Three-time Paralympic gold medallist, marathon champion and disability advocate.
Kurt Fearnley is one of Australia's most decorated Paralympians — three Paralympic gold medals, two silvers, a bronze, marathon wins in New York, London, Chicago and Paris, and the man who crawled the Kokoda Track in 2009 on his hands and knees as a tribute to Australian servicemen. Born without the lower portion of his spine, he competed at the very top of wheelchair racing for nearly two decades.
What lands on stage isn't the medal count — it's how plainly he talks about effort, identity and the small daily choices that produce a long career. Kurt has an unusual gift for putting an audience at ease while telling stories that quietly reset their idea of what's hard.
He's a regular keynote for major corporate, government and community events, has chaired the National Disability Insurance Agency board, and is one of the most reliably moving speakers working in Australia today.
Kurt Fearnley AO is a keynote speaker based in New South Wales who speaks on diversity & inclusion, inspiration and motivation. Book through Executive Speakers Australia.
Kurt was absolutely brilliant, an amazing presentation, such a lovely person who mingled with our guests prior to his presentation and afterwards. Such a humble, down to earth person and an amazing presenter.Hire and Rental Industry Association
Kurt connected with the audience, he was genuine, inspirational and well spoken. He received a standing ovation at the end of his presentation!Event and Conference Co.
Kurt engaged with his audience right from the start of the session. He spoke about his experiences in a way which enthralled the students (you could have heard a pin drop!). He responded very well to their questions in the Q and A session at the end as well. His messaging was right on point for the group, and tied in beautifully with the rest of the workshops being run on the day.Hunter Valley Grammar School
