Lachy Reid

About Lachy

Lachy Reid has spent over 17 years as a senior sports journalist and presenter for Network Ten — a tenure that has taken him to the Sochi Winter Olympics, the Glasgow and Delhi Commonwealth Games, and major international basketball events including the Australian Boomers tour. He is also AFL Football commentator for Triple M, Mix 94.5 Triple Footy commentator and NBL Basketball commentator, and he is an award-winning journalist with a track record built across multiple sports and formats.

His value at corporate and charity events is straightforward: he brings genuine broadcast-level skill to a role — master of ceremonies and facilitator — that is often underestimated. No crowd is too large or too small. He has captivated sporting stadiums and arenas and entertained intimate corporate and charity functions. He has also hosted celebrity boxing events, demonstrating the adaptability that distinguishes a professional presenter from a sporting figure who MCs on the side.

Reid is the right choice for event organisers who want a host with deep sporting credibility — AFL, basketball, Olympics, Commonwealth Games — combined with the professionalism that comes from years in live broadcast. He is based in Western Australia, making him a natural fit for Perth-based events, and suits conferences, award nights, gala dinners and sporting luncheons where the subject matter intersects with Australian sport.
