Warumungu/Yawuru woman, NITV presenter, AFLW boundary rider, and corporate host
Megan Waters is a proud Warumungu/Yawuru woman, born and raised on Larrakia Country in Darwin, whose connection to her culture is central to everything she does. For the past decade she has called Melbourne home, building a career that spans fitness instruction, media presenting, and Indigenous cultural advocacy. In 2021 she joined NITV's Yokayi Footy, using her platform to deepen understanding of Indigenous culture through sport. She is also a Boundary Rider for FOX Footy's AFLW coverage — one of the most visible roles in women's football broadcasting.
What makes Megan distinctive is the range she brings to a stage. She is simultaneously a credentialled fitness professional, a media identity, and a cultural ambassador — a combination that allows her to connect with audiences across very different event types. Her charisma and relatability have made her a popular MC and corporate host for organisations including the AFL, Dreamtime at the G, The Carbine Club, Toyota, and Kinaway.
She is an ideal MC or corporate host for events that want warmth, cultural authenticity, and genuine stage presence — particularly in the sport, health, diversity, and reconciliation space. Audiences leave her events with both energy and a broadened sense of what Indigenous contribution to Australian life looks like today.
