Dual Olympic rowing gold medallist, Oarsome Foursome founder and Chef de Mission of the 2012 Australian Olympic Team
Nick Green OAM OLY is a dual Olympic gold medallist in rowing, winning at the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Games as a founding member of the famous Oarsome Foursome. A four-time World Champion, he has attended eight Olympic Games, and his leadership credentials were tested at the highest level when he was appointed Chef de Mission of the Australian Olympic Team for the 2012 London Games. He has received life memberships of the Victorian Olympic Council and Rowing Australia, been awarded an Order of Australia Medal, and been inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
What distinguishes Nick is the breadth of his post-rowing career. A Fellow of Leadership Victoria, he has served as a Director of VicHealth and the Victorian Institute of Sport, led a national sporting federation as CEO, and gained global corporate experience with ASX-listed entities. That mix gives him an unusually grounded understanding of the parallels between elite sport and business — he is not simply retelling race stories, but unpacking the success factors of a world-beating team and what authentic leadership looks like in practice.
Audiences come away with clearly articulated insights on leadership, accountability and team foundations, delivered in a relaxed, honest style that clients consistently praise. He takes the trouble to learn what each audience cares about and tailors his presentation accordingly — and he is generous with questions, photos and conversation afterwards. For conferences, leadership programs and corporate dinners, Nick Green brings something few speakers can: gold-medal credibility matched with genuine boardroom experience, woven into stories that make the lessons stick.

Nick Green was an excellent speaker who presented extremely well to the audience and was a major contributing factor to the overall success of the evening. His speech was both entertaining and topical taking into consideration the nature of the event and his recent experiences at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. We were particularly grateful to him for making himself available for questions, photos and autograph signing throughout the evening.Melbourne High School
Nick's easy friendly style gave the impression of a friend chatting about the Olympics... I was delighted that Nick took the trouble to find out what our people were most interested in, and he then tailored his presentation accordingly.Victorian Caravan Parks Association
