Rabia Siddique has spent more than three decades confronting that question - in conflict zones, courtrooms, boardrooms and her own life.

An international criminal and human rights lawyer, former British Army legal officer, hostage survivor and bestselling author of Equal Justice, Rabia brings extraordinary lived experience and clear, practical insight to the challenges facing leaders today.

Her work has taken her into war crimes and terrorism prosecutions, humanitarian advocacy and situations where decisions carry profound human consequences. In 2005, she helped negotiate the release of two British soldiers held hostage in Iraq, during an incident in which she was also taken captive. Her service was recognised with a Queen’s Commendation.

The fight for justice that followed deepened her understanding of institutional culture, discrimination and the personal cost of speaking up. It also strengthened a conviction that runs through all her work: leadership is revealed through the choices we make, the people we protect and the values we uphold under pressure.

Today, Rabia is a Certified Speaking Professional, leadership and culture consultant, non-executive director and humanitarian advocate. She helps organisations build trust, strengthen resilience and develop leaders who can navigate uncertainty with integrity, compassion and conviction.
