Multicultural queer inclusion strategist and founder of Let's Queer The Air — LGBTIQA+ inclusion at work.
Ashara Wills is an inclusion strategist, speaker and facilitator, and the Founder and CEO of Let's Queer The Air. She describes herself as a multicultural queer changemaker, community connector and inclusion strategist whose work sits at the intersection of lived experience and systemic change. Based in Boorloo (Perth), she works across the government, education, corporate and community sectors, helping organisations move beyond compliance and policy towards the kind of cultural change that creates belonging for people who have historically been excluded.
Her keynotes and workshops are built on an understanding of the barriers LGBTIQA+ people face in workplaces that were not designed with them in mind. Wills builds empathy through personal storytelling, drawing on growing up navigating the complexities of being queer and multicultural, and delivers training and consulting that breaks down barriers to LGBTIQA+ inclusion. A former Vice President of Pride WA, she continues to run community programs in Western Australia, and works in person across regional areas as well as online with organisations nationally.
For diversity and inclusion programs, staff training days and conference stages — and for any organisation serious about building a workplace where every person can contribute fully — Ashara Wills offers a practical perspective grounded in both community work and organisational training. Her workshops are interactive, and her sessions are designed to leave organisations examining their assumptions, not just updating their policies.
