About David

David Coulthard grew up in Twynholm, Scotland and began karting at age 11. He won the McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year Award in 1989, joined Williams in 1993 and made his Formula 1 debut the following year, securing his first victory at the 1995 Portuguese Grand Prix. His nine-season stint at McLaren produced 12 Grand Prix wins and five top-three finishes in the World Championship, bringing his career total to 13 Grand Prix victories across 15 seasons. He was appointed an MBE in the 2010 Birthday Honours for services to motorsport, and co-authored It Is What It Is (2007) and The Winning Formula (2018).

Beyond the cockpit, Coulthard has built a second career as one of the most recognisable names in Formula 1. He remains active through ambassadorships, co-commentary and conducting podium interviews for global television broadcasts. In 2022, he co-founded More Than Equal, an initiative dedicated to helping the first woman race in modern-era Formula 1. He has also served as non-executive chairman of W Series, the world's first professional all-women single-seater racing series.

Coulthard is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded Whisper. He presents through fireside chats and Q&A formats, drawing on a career built at the sharp end of the world's most technically and psychologically demanding motorsport. For events seeking a figure who carries both credibility and international name recognition, David Coulthard is a compelling choice.
