Guy Kawasaki was Apple's chief evangelist for the Macintosh — the person responsible for building the ecosystem of developers and advocates that made the platform viable. He joined the company in 1983, through his Stanford roommate Mike Boich, and held the role for four years, spanning the original Macintosh launch. He is now Chief Evangelist at Canva, a position he has held since 2014, the author of fifteen books including The Macintosh Way, The Art of the Start and Wise Guy, and an adviser to Google, which he joined in 2013 to advise Motorola.
Kawasaki is not trading on nostalgia.
