Tim Gossage

About Tim

Tim Gossage spent 31 years with Network 10 and was arguably one of the most recognisable faces in Perth media. As sports presenter for the Perth edition of Ten News and former host of the local weekly football show The Western Front, he was a fixture of Western Australian television for more than three decades, alongside various radio and football coaching roles. Then the network decided to centralise the hosting of Ten News Perth to Sydney — and Tim lost his job.

It was unexpected, and it hit him hard. What makes Tim's story distinctive is the honesty with which he tells it. He speaks openly about his shock axing — the heartache, the anxiety, the financial stress on his family and friends — and about how he dusted himself off and fought his way back. It is confronting but exhilarating, and proof that the biggest knockdowns do not always mean you are knocked out.

For audiences facing change, redundancy or upheaval, Tim's keynote 'When the unexpected happens' offers a first-hand account of losing a career overnight and the journey back from the brink. He is also a highly experienced Master of Ceremonies, bringing decades of live media experience and a professional, friendly manner that clients consistently praise — from St John Ambulance, who called him brilliant in a live virtual TV format, to local councils and sporting bodies who book him again and again. For conferences, gala dinners and awards nights across WA and beyond, Tim Gossage keeps events flowing and audiences entertained.
